In May of this year, after successful protests in Washington DC against the IMF and World Bank, Boston activists were briefed by the Philadelphia-based UNITY 2000 progressive umbrella organization, a cluster of local and national groups working to hold actions during the Republican National Convention 2000 (July 29-August 3). Since then, a task force assembled to plan Eastern Massachusetts' response to the call of hundreds of groups, united in their diversity against the corporate rule of the two-party state.
Join us in our efforts as we attempt to bring attention to the convention protests, the issues, and the trampling of civil liberties in the aftermath.
